The Pedagogy of Hooping: Part 2, school is obSolete

Here is a list of six chapter titles for part two of the book:  The Pedagogy of Hula Hoops

one

As a longtime teacher in Baltimore, USA, it has become OBVIOUS as the sun that school is not only obSolete but also dangerous.  Of course I still teach so you may question my sanity if you look at it on the surface.

two

The very blog where I charge this statement above, for example, is blocked in school, even though (or because?) it is a free tool available to anyone who wants to become involved in the economy and culture of the NEW internets.  ObSolete 101.

three

School blocks out much of the actual tools available to our young people, from free internets to actual entrepreneurial/apprentice tools that are available out in the FREE world.

four

The man keeping us down AGAIN for fucksake.  The only alternative is to take shit back over.   Even in the BEST classrooms this is true, Even in the best jailcells.

five

Hula Hoops jack the scene, they wrap the hooper in their own small jailcell of selfspace, yet it can be a jailcell of some amount of comfort, depending on how much the learner of the cell has learned to control the small space of the hurling 3 point one four etc rotation just like all other things and and non things rotate.

six

Hula hooping offers a radical epistemology, if we consider all knowledge out of the circular ideas involved in a Bmore hoop revolution hula hoop that you can buy or use on the median strip of 33rd and Barclay on Saturday morningz 8 am to 12:30.
